EDF and its partner, the China General Nuclear Corporation (CGN), have signed a Strategic Investment Agreement for Hinkley Point C, confirming the first new nuclear power station in the UK for a generation.

The UK Government and EDF finalised the details during this week’s China State Visit, agreeing the Contract for Difference that will provide price certainty  for the electricity generated from the plant.
